Comment:  A view of Crater Lake from the West. Wizard Island is in the foreground of the lake, Mount Scott (8,929') is 10 miles away on the far side of the lake. The little dot in the lake next to the far shore on the left is the "Phantom Ship", a projecting lava promontory which when viewed from lake level "disappears" into the back ground caldera wall. The peak on the caldera rim just in front of Wizard Island is known as The Watchman Lookout. Scott is flying Julie in a circle at 10,500'
