Comment:  At the top of Yosemite Valley. Here Julie has been up-drafted to 13,500 ft and Scott is making the turn to start the flight down the valley. The Central Yosemite Valley area is visible behind her wing. Yosemite Village can be seen (at full size) in the center of the triangular valley floor. The flat rock outcropping just above Julie's wing is the north ease side Half Dome as viewed from the upper end of the valley. Glacier Point and Sentinel Dome are in the distance. Between May and October the National Park Service strings cables on this side of Half Dome to help hikers reach the top. At this point I was beginning to experience shortness of breath due to the lack of oxygen
