On The Mount Rainier Rollercoaster. As we passed over the clouds streaming off of Rainier we entered an area of clear air turbulence. Other pictures in this series show Julie's wing is bouncing up and down. After crossing the turbulent area, we discovered we had gained over 1,000' and were above 13,000' Items of note in this picture are Little Tahoma Peak (just above Julie's wing), the Emmons Glacier coming off of the summit, and the rims of the two summit craters (clear on the full sized image) |
