Comment:  Approaching the Crater Lake area from the south. Julie is at 10,500', about 25 miles due south of the center of the lake. The high sharp peak in the center of the picture is Mount Thielsen (9,184'), 11 miles beyond Crater Lake. The high peak to the right of the center of the picture is Mount Scott (8,929'). The high peak on the left is Mount Bailey (8,368') The 6 miles wide caldera for the lake is bounded on the left by the peak in front of Mount Bailey and on the right by the rise to the left of Mount Scott.
